KSP: 3 arrested after troopers find large amounts of suspected meth, hallucinogens, cocaine in Utica home

Two people from Utica and one from Livermore have been arrested after Kentucky State Police troopers found pounds of suspected methamphetamine, hallucinogens, cocaine, marijuana, and more forms of drugs and drug paraphernalia, authorities say.

According to a release, KSP executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1600 block of 1600 East Harmons Ferry Road in Utica at approximately 2 a.m. on February 3. The following people were arrested and charged:

Edward J. Morris, 44, of Utica 

  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense-Methamphetamine (greater than 2 grams)
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, (Cocaine)
  • Trafficking in Marijuana
  • Cultivating in Marijuana
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree, (Hallucinogens)
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, (Drugs Unspecified)
  • Possession Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Drugs Unspecified)
  • Drug Paraphernalia (Deliver/Manufacture)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree
  • Violation of a Kentucky Emergency Protection Order / Domestic Violence Order
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Trafficking in Anabolic Steroids

Keisha L. Morris, 33, of Utica

  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense-Methamphetamine (greater than 2 grams)
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, (Cocaine)
  • Trafficking in Marijuana
  • Cultivating in Marijuana
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree, (Hallucinogens)
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, (Drugs Unspecified)
  • Possession Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Drugs Unspecified)
  • Drug Paraphernalia (Deliver/Manufacture)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Case B. Layson, 20, of Livermore

  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense-Methamphetamine (greater than 2 grams)
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, (Cocaine)
  • Trafficking in Marijuana
  • Cultivating in Marijuana
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree, (Hallucinogens)
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, (Drugs Unspecified)
  • Possession Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Drugs Unspecified)
  • Drug Paraphernalia (Deliver/Manufacture)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree
  • Trafficking in Anabolic Steroids

All three were transported and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center in Greenville.

The investigation is ongoing.
