Daviess County, McLean County, and Owensboro Catholic all won, while Hancock County fell short.
Daviess County 56, Logan County 43
Kennedy Lane led the way with 20 points, five rebounds, and two steals in the Lady Panthers 56-43 win over Logan County. Lily Hoagland scored 15 points on 5-7 shooting from the field, while Zoey Beehn added 10 points and four rebounds.
“It was a great win on the road and solid performances on both ends of the court,” Daviess County head coach Natalie Payne said. “This team is focused on doing what it takes to be playing our best basketball at the right time.”
Ohio County 46, Hancock County 42
Carolina Jones finished with 17 points and five assists as the Lady Hornets fell just short on the road against Ohio County 46-42. Ansley House recorded 12 points and six rebounds, while Madyson Higdon added four points and 11 rebounds.
“The girls did a much better job taking care of the basketball tonight,” Hancock County head coach Kevin Husk said. “They played great defense for three quarters.”
McLean County 49, Webster County 30
Karle Floyd scored nine of her team-high 16 points in the first quarter to help the Lady Cougars cruise past Webster County 49-30. Kenadi Level scored seven of her 10 points in the fourth quarter, while Katie McCoy finished with eight points.
Owensboro Catholic 73, Henderson County 64
Aubrey Randolph scored nine of her team-high 23 points in the second quarter to fuel the Lady Aces to a 73-64 win over Henderson County. Allie Marston and Taylor Mannahan both added 11 points, while Karmin Riley hit two threes to go along with her 10 points.
“I thought we looked really good in the first half,” Owensboro Catholic head coach Michael Robertson said. “We were moving the ball and finding the open person. In the second half, we started off doing the same and took a big lead, but then we looked like we quit attacking and played backward. It is still a great win over a quality opponent and it was a good bounce-back game after Saturday’s performance.”
