DCSO: Woman arrested for trafficking meth and fentanyl; man also arrested on outstanding warrant

A 28-year-old woman is facing several charges including trafficking in meth and fentanyl following an investigation by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a release, detectives from the DCSO Special Investigations Unit, General Investigations Unit, and Patrol Division arrested Paige M. Kassinger, of the 1600 block of Center Street, on Wednesday during a narcotics trafficking investigation. 

DCSO detectives had received information that Kassinger was trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl from her residence, and a search warrant was executed as part of the investigation, authorities said. 

“Detectives located methamphetamine and fentanyl, as well as evidence of trafficking including white powder used as ‘cutting agent,’ paper cut into ‘points’ for fentanyl, a grinder to mix the fentanyl and cutting agent, digital scales with drug residue, pills, surveillance equipment, and other drug paraphernalia,” the release says. 

Kassinger was also wanted on outstanding arrest warrants, according to DCSO. 

Timothy M. Jones, 46, of the 2300 block of Skaggs Court, who was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant, was visiting the residence during the operation and was arrested, authorities said.

All evidence was seized and logged into evidence by DCSO. Kassinger and Jones were lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center. 

Kassinger was charged with:

  • Trafficking Controlled Substances – 1st Degree, 2nd or greater offense (Meth)
  • Trafficking Controlled Substances – 1st Degree, 2nd or greater offense (Fentanyl)
  • Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
  • Illegal Possession of Legend Drug 
  • Daviess County District Court Failure to Appear Warrant for:
    • Possession Controlled Substance – 1st Degree (Meth)
    • Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Possess
  • Daviess County District Court Failure to Appear Warrant for:
    • Possession Controlled Substance – 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Meth)
    • Possession Controlled Substance – 1st Degree (Fentanyl)
    • Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Possess
  • Henderson County District Court Failure to Appear Warrant for:
    • DUI under Influence of Alcohol/Drugs/Etc., 2nd Offense
    • Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operator’s License
    • Failure to Surrender Revoked Operator’s License
    • Failure to Appear (2 counts)
    • Contempt of Court (3 counts)

Jones was charged with:

  • Daviess County District Failure to Appear Warrant for:
    • Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon
    • Possession Controlled Substance – 1st Degree (Meth)(While Armed)
    • Possession Controlled Substance – 1st Degree (Fentanyl) (While Armed)
    • Public Intoxication – Controlled Substances
