“I am extremely proud of how far we’ve come as a program in only a year’s time,” Aces Wrestling Club coach Matt Allen said. “We only sent four wrestlers to state last year. These kids have worked all summer with the goal of making it to the state tournament. As a coach, I couldn’t be more proud.”
Finishing fifth, the Eagles Wrestling Club is sending eight wrestlers to advance to the state tournament. Jaiden Carver won at 122, while Graden Gant Jaxton Howard, and James Listall all finished second. Sadly for Listall, he suffered an injury and couldn’t compete in the finals.
Whitesville Trinity Wrestling coach Curtis Martinson was proud of his five wrestlers holding their own against the bigger teams and schools.
