Lady Panthers finish fourth in Queen of the Commonwealth tournament

Competing in the Queen of the Commonwealth tournament against 14 other teams, Daviess County’s run to a tile fell short, dropping to Simon Ketnon in the semi-finals 51-42.

Zoey Beehn finished with a team-high 15 points, eight of which came in the second half, and added five rebounds, one block, and one steal. Lily Hoagland scored nine of her 14 points in the first quarter, all coming from three-pointers. She also finished with two steals and one rebound. The duo was named to the Queen of the Commonwealth All-Tournament team.

Kennedy Lane was third on the team in scoring with nine points, all coming from three-pointers, and added four rebounds. Riley Haden and Mack Elliot rounded out the teams scoring with two points each.

The Lady Panthers are off this week due to the holidays and won’t return to action till December 30, in a home match against McLean County at 3:30 pm.
