McLean County 54, Hancock County 44

For Hancock County, Ansley House recorded a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Izzy Ross added 10 points and seven rebounds. Madyson Higdon and Malorie Tuell grabbed 10 and five rebounds.
“We just couldn’t keep our composure against the press,” Hancock County head coach Kevin Husk said. “But I like my team, and I know we’ll start figuring it out as a team.”
Owensboro 66, Central Hardin 45
In the first game of their doubleheader, Shalyn Sprinkles scored a team-high 20 points to fuel the Lady Devils to a 66-45 win over Central Hardin in the Firstbank Holiday Bash. Heleina John was second on the team in scoring with 18 points, while Unique Carter-Swanagan and Abby Sapp each added 10 points.
Owensboro 68, Green County 50
Owensboro improved to 3-0 in the Firstbank Holiday Bash after cruising to a 68-50 win over Green County. Keeley Harris and Shalyn Sprinkles led the team in scoring with 17 points, while Heleina John recorded a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds. Unique Carter-Swanagan scored nine points, all stemming from three pointers.
“Against Green County, we came out sluggish and played lazy defense,” Owensboro head coach Jansen Locher said. “We picked up the intensity right before halftime and carried that over into the second half. We started to get stops on defense, which allowed us to get into more of a flow on offense and get some buckets.”
Owensboro Catholic 74, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 48
Aubrey Randolph scored a team-high 22 points including three threes as the Lady Aces defeated Palm Beach Gardens 74-48 to advance to the championship of the Holiday Classic in the Palm Beaches. Riley Karmin hit four threes in the first half, finishing with 15 points, while Layla Martin was third on the team in scoring with 11 points.
“We got off to a slow start and they shot the ball well in the first arc from behind the arch,” Owensboro Catholic head coach Michael Robertson said. “We came out after halftime and decided to pick up the pace and frustrated them leading to a few turnovers and easy baskets on the other end. This has been a great experience so far in playing this level of competition.”
