The Edge Ice Center is hosting several family-friendly, festive activities to celebrate the holiday season, including skating with Santa, an ugly sweater party, and a glow skate.
The events require participants under 16 to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older.
Skate with Santa
Families are invited to wear their pajamas and take to the ice with Santa Claus and his elves. Attendees will receive a golden ticket and silver bell upon arrival and can enjoy free hot chocolate while skating to classic Christmas tunes.
- When: December 21, 1–3:30 p.m.
- Cost: $7 per person (includes skate rental); $2 for spectators
Holiday Ugly Sweater Christmas Party
Skaters are encouraged to wear their favorite ugly Christmas sweaters for a festive session filled with games and holiday cheer. Those sporting ugly sweaters will receive a gift bag with treats, discounts, and coupons for future events at The Edge.
- When: December 23, 1–3:30 p.m.
- Cost: $7 per person (includes skate rental); $2 for spectators
New Year’s Eve Glow-Skate Party
The Edge will host a glow-themed skating session to ring in 2024. A DJ will provide music, and skaters can enjoy glow sticks and party favors while supplies last.
- When: December 31, 10 p.m.–12:30 a.m.
- Cost: $15 per person (includes skate rental); $2 for spectators
Winter Break Sessions
From December 19 to January 5, the Edge Ice Center will offer daily public skating sessions during the afternoon and evening. Specific session times and admission details are available at owensboroparks.org. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online.
The Edge will be closed December 24-25 for the holidays, and there will be no public skating on January 4 due to a hockey tournament.
