Competing at Scott County’s Tommy Castle Classic tournament on Saturday afternoon, Daviess County finished 6th, despite missing multiple athletes at four different weight classes.
Going 4-0, Aiden Ranburger finished first at 138 pounds, while Jackson Stoner and Cole Raymer both finished third at 150 and 126 pounds respectively. On the girls’ side, Kali Nichols finished third at 165 pounds.
“A lot changes once we have those four spots filled and were scoring points at a tournament,” Daviess County head coach Colton Gonzalez said. “We are just shaking off the early year stuff and we will be a tough team within a month or two.”
