Fall Break will come one week later than usual next year for Daviess County Public Schools. The DCPS Board of Education on Thursday approved the full 2025-26 academic calendar.

The calendar calls for students to start school on August 12, 2025, and conclude on May 15, 2026. Fall Break will run from October 13-17, 2025.

During a presentation to the board earlier this week, DCPS Assistant Superintendent of Student Services Matt Mason said the break is a week later than years past due to the start date being later than usual.

Christmas Break will remain largely unchanged, spanning December 22, 2025, to January 2, 2026, with students returning on Monday, January 5. Spring Break is slated for April 6-10.
