11:30 a.m. — Both eastbound lanes of KY 54 near Bold Forbes Way are currently closed due to contractors hitting a gas line, according to authorities.
Daviess County Fire Chief Jeremy Smith said contractors hit a 4-inch main while boring.
Smith said traffic is being diverted through the Thorobred East neighborhood. He said it is unclear at this time how long the lanes will remain closed.
