Update: At 8:25, OPD confirmed the motorcyclist had been transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital (OHRH) with unknown injuries following the accident with a passenger vehicle.
OPD also confirmed the accident occurred near Fourth and Breckinridge Streets and that the investigation is still ongoing.

There was an accident near the intersection of Fourth Street and Leitchfield Road around 7:30 p.m. The Owensboro Police Department (OPD), American Medical Response (AMR), and the Owensboro Fire Department (OFD) were all on-site.
An OT staff member was on scene and reported that it appears as though the accident involved one motor vehicle and one motorcycle.
Fourth Street is currently closed eastbound from Hathaway Street to Leitchfield Road. Drivers should seek alternate routes and avoid the area.
