Officials identify man who died in fatal house fire Thursday

Update: Officials have identified the person who died as 41-year-old Adam Doss. The cause of death is still pending.

One person was found dead inside the home where crews responded to a structure fire early Thursday morning, according to the Owensboro Fire Department.

According to a release, OFD dispatched to the 300 block of Holmes Drive at 3:17 a.m. Crews discovered the deceased occupant inside the home.

The fire has been extinguished, and investigators are working to determine the cause and origin of the blaze.

The department thanked the Owensboro Police Department, Central Dispatch, AMR, Owensboro Municipal Utilities, and the Daviess County Coroner’s Office for their assistance in responding to the incident.
