Daviess County Fiscal Court on Thursday officially approved a slight decrease in property tax rates for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
County Treasurer Jordan Johnson said the new rate is 12.9 cents per $100 of assessed value, down from 13 cents last year. The new rate is still expected to generate $10,187,849 in revenue.
The tangible personal property tax rate for the County in 2023-24 will be 13.8 cents per $100 of assessed value, while the tax rate for motor vehicles and watercraft will be 17 cents per $100 of assessed value.
