Windy Hollow Raceway Park will host three days of racing action to open the month of August, with events at the Dragway on Friday and Saturday followed by one at the Speedway on Sunday.
First up, Windy Hollow Dragway will host Friday Night Fun, with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. and the track “going hot” at 6:30. Participants are encouraged to bring their cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, ATVs, motorcycles, and scooters to the track and “take it off the street and onto the strip.” There will also be a trophy race beginning at 9 p.m. with an entry fee of $25.
On Saturday, the Dragway will host WDRA Summit Sportsman Bracket Racing. Classes include super pro, pro, sportsman, factory street, junior dragster, trophy, and motorcycle. Gates will open at 3 p.m. with two rounds of time trials beginning at 5. Eliminations will follow time trials.
On Sunday, Windy Hollow Speedway will host Driver Appreciation Night in conjunction with the annual Back to School Bash at the 3/8-mile dirt track. The event will include free entry for drivers (with their race cars), in appreciation of their support of the track during the season. The Windy Hollow Speedway Kids Club will also host backpack giveaways and free haircuts beginning at 5 p.m. Gates will open at 3:30 p.m., with racing at 6.
For Friday and Saturday nights, general admission is $12 for adults, and ages 12 and under are admitted free. For Sunday, general admission is $12 for adults, with ages 6-12 costing $6 and ages 5 and under admitted free.
