Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari has added 7 days to the August operating calendar. While the initial calendar only called for the park to be open on weekends starting next month, it will now also be open August 5-9 and 12-13.
“It’s even easier to enjoy America’s Top Theme Park this year with our new expanded calendar,” said Leah Koch-Blumhardt, Director of Communications and Fourth-Generation Owner. “This summer, many larger parks have minimized their operating calendars. We’re proud to be adding to ours.”
Holidays in the Sky Drone & Fireworks Spectacular runs daily through August 4. Kids World, which includes all the rides and slides of Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari plus entertainment, activities, and food geared toward kids, begins August 17.

Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari were recently named America’s top theme park, according to the HomeToGo Theme Park Index. The index ranks parks based on attractions available and affordability. The index included all major U.S. theme parks, including Orlando parks.
“We’re excited that the index recognized the value of visiting our two parks at one price along with free unlimited soft drinks, free parking, and free sunscreen,” Kock-Blumhardt said.
