Darien M. McCubbins, 30, of Owensboro, was arrested Wednesday after Daviess County Sheriff’s Office found evidence of methamphetamine, Percocet and more drug trafficking, according to DCSO reports.
DCSO Special Investigations detectives executed a search warrant on McCubbins’s home in the 5400 Block of Ruidoso Loop in Colony Mobile Estates. The warrant was initially obtained regarding an ongoing investigation involving stolen firearms.
Once inside the residence, DCSO discovered a large quantity of methamphetamine, counterfeit Percocet pills containing fentanyl, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, surveillance equipment, magnetic hideaway containers, and US currency. All evidence was seized and logged into DCSO’s evidence.
McCubbins is currently supervised release on multiple previous drug offense convictions and is now charged and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center with the following charges:
- Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
- Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Carfentanyl or Fentanyl Derivatives)
- Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
