The Owensboro 9 Post Bombers defeated Columbia Post 19 8-3 on Sunday afternoon. The Bombers jumped on the board early with four runs in the first and never looked back.
Houston Flynn, Eli DeBoer, and Talan Cartwright each led the Bombers with two hits a piece. DeBoer led all batters with four RBIs, followed by Cartwright, Logen Thomas, and Paxton Gardner, who each finished with one.
Flynn scored a game-high three runs, while Thomas touted two, and Cartwright, DeBoer, and Aiden Wells each crossed the plate once.
Braxton Franey secured the win on the mound, allowing just three runs on six hits and four strikeouts. Garrett Lanham sealed the deal in relief, allowing no runs on no hits with three strikeouts in 1.2 innings.
The Bombers will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Mulzer Field to face Newburgh at 6 p.m.
