A 33-year-old man with a history of felony burglary charges has been arrested and charged with five more burglary offenses that took place at local businesses on June 6, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to a release, between 2-4 a.m. on June 6 OPD responded to multiple burglaries throughout the city.
“While patrol officers were processing the crime scenes, Owensboro Central Dispatch would receive another burglary alarm for glass breakage and dispatch officers to that location,” the release says. “Patrol officers would discover damage and the business had been burglarized. Patrol officers began checking other convenience stores throughout the city and located other businesses that were burglarized that had not been reported.”
The Criminal Investigations Division was assigned the cases. Detectives established a suspect vehicle and patrol officers located it to conduct a traffic stop, according to OPD. Evidence of the burglaries was recovered and the operator was taken into custody, the release says.
The suspect, Jesse White, was transported and lodged at Daviess County Detention Center on the fiver third-degree burglary charges for incidents that took place at TD’s Tuff Decisions, Super A Food Mart, Franey’s Food Mart, Jumping Jacks/Marathon, and Quality Convenience.
White has been convicted of multiple felony charges relating to burglaries and thefts. According to OPD, his prior felony convictions are:

• 2020, Muhlenberg County- Burglary 3rd Degree (5 Counts) Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree
• 2020, Muhlenberg County – Burglary 3rd Degree, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree
• 2020, McClean County- Burglary 3rd Degree (2 Counts) Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree
• 2015, Daviess County- Burglary 3rd Degree (2 Counts)
• 2013, Daviess County- Burglary 3rd Degree
• 2013, Daviess County- Burglary 3rd Degree
• 2013, Daviess County- Burglary 2nd Degree, Burglary 3rd Degree, Possession of Burglary Tools, Tampering With Physical Evidence, Falsify/Conceal/Cover-up Fictitious/Fraudulent Statement
