A restaurant called Big Whiskey’s American Restaurant and Bar appears to be coming to Owensboro. The company announced the new location earlier this week.
A release on the restaurant’s website says, “While the final location is still in negotiation, Big Whiskey’s will be in the heart of the Owensboro community and will serve as the perfect gathering spot for the people of Owensboro.”
According to the release, Big Whiskey’s has 19 current locations across the South and Midwest with an additional nine stores in construction.
The release said the Owensboro franchisees’ are Alan and Lisa Lawrence. They worked with Erin Detrick, Associate VP of Franchise at Big Whiskey’s, and visited multiple locations throughout the region.
“Everything we heard from Big Whiskey’s corporate that we loved was a hundred percent echoed by the people we talked to throughout our trip,” Alan Lawrence said in the release.
Big Whiskey’s co-owner Paul Sundy said in the release that he is elated by Lisa and Alan’s enthusiasm.
“These people and their community are what make Big Whiskey’s the modern family restaurant and bar that everyone can go to for their toast-worthy moments,” he said. “We are so happy to guide them along this journey and see how we can be a part of Owensboro.”
