All Owensboro Public Schools employees will receive at least a 4% raise for the 2024-25 school year. The bump will be in addition to annual step increases for eligible staff.

The salary increases were approved Thursday during the )PS Board of Education meeting.

According to OPS chief financial officer John David Sandefur, some positions are receiving the appropriate market adjustment to meet benchmarks concerning their salaries in addition to the 4% raise.

This announcement comes after Daviess County Public Schools approved a similar 4% increase for their employees last week.
