Voters will have the first chance to officially indicate their choice for Owensboro’s next Mayor and City Commissioners — as well as the U.S. President — with the upcoming Primary Election on May 21. Here’s what to know about the upcoming Primary, from where and when to vote to what the ballot will look like.

Voter Registration

The last day to register to vote or modify your voter record to be eligible to vote in the Primary Election is April 22 at 4 p.m. To review your voter record, click here. To register or modify your registration, click here.

Sample ballot

Kentucky is a closed primary state, meaning that for primary elections registered Republicans can only see and vote for Republican candidates and vice versa for Democrats. The sample ballot includes candidates for both parties.

A sample ballot for the Primary Election can be found here.

(The Yelvington wet/dry vote will only be on ballots for Yelvington residents.)
