The Sleep Inn hotel on Owensboro’s west end is undergoing a rebranding. The property will become a Wingate by Wyndham, with the move expected to be complete by the end of this month.
The hotel is located at 51 Bon Harbor Hills, just north of the intersection that connects the bypass with U.S. 60 West.
Owner and General Manager Sunny Patel said guests can expect an upgraded experience with a revamped hotel and better service.
“The decision to rebrand from Sleep Inn to Wingate in Owensboro is rooted in our unwavering commitment to excellence,” Patel said in a release. “Embracing this change signifies a dedication to elevated comfort, modern amenities, and exceptional service. With this transformation, we aim to raise the standard of accommodation, enhance the visitor experience, and contribute to the vibrancy of Owensboro’s hospitality landscape.”
Wingate will be 100% nonsmoking. Amenities will include complimentary hot breakfast, free high-speed wi-fi, an indoor heated pool and spa, a fitness room, and meeting rooms.
Wingate by Wyndham is expected to officially open in the last week of March 2024. According to the release, the hotel’s location puts it in a position to cater to both business and leisure travelers.
Visit Owensboro President Mark Calitri said, “By upgrading the hotel brand and continually improving the quality of our products, we elevate the experience for our guests and exponentially increase our appeal to host conventions, sports events, and city-wide events.”
