For the second year, German American Bank can call itself a Top Community Bank in the Nation for its 2023 performance.
As assessed by S&P Global Market Intelligence, German American outearned 27 out of 200 U.S. Community banks with assets between $3 billion and $10 billion. This distinction makes them the highest-ranking banks serving Southern Indiana and Kentucky.
CEO and Chairman Neil Dauby said 2023 was a ‘volatile year’ for the banking industry with challenges.
“Our organization’s ability to perform at such a high level in such difficult times is a testament to the dedicated efforts of our relationship-focused team of professionals. Our company remained steadfast in its commitment to its employees, customers, communities, and shareholders throughout the entire year and will continue to serve all of our stakeholders with strength and resilience for years to come,” Dauby said.
Last year, the Bank placed 19th out of 196 banks in the same distinction. Then, Dauby said that it was also a volatile year, and they were able to assure shareholders.
