With snow removal crews having worked since late Sunday evening, many of the major roadways are largely cleared, while side streets are still covered. Here’s what to know about which roads will be a priority for snow removal crews across Owensboro-Daviess County.

The City announced via Facebook that as of about 10:30, crews were still spreading salt on Priority 1 and Priority 2 routes.

At 6 a.m., KYTC officials said in a Facebook post: “Additional equipment and snow fighters have been deployed to treat and plow roadways today. The sunshine will help melt the snow and ice, but progress will be slow because the chemicals aren’t as effective in the lower temperatures.”
