Marking 15 years since its establishment, Lance & Company Jewelers has become a staple in Owensboro. They are currently gearing up for their annual anniversary sale with items 20-70% off, and this year it has been extended from a weekend to a week-long event.

The journey began on October 31, 2008, when Lance Embry — having already dedicated 20 years as a jeweler and 5 years as the store manager for Brinker’s Jewelers in Owensboro — seized the opportunity to purchase the store from the Brinker Family.

The store, which underwent a significant remodeling in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 shutdown, was initially neighbored by stores like Baker’s Rack and Excursions in Wesleyan Park Plaza.

Last year marked another significant milestone for Lance & Company as Mandy Collins, Lance’s daughter with over two decades in the jewelry world, became co-owner.

Over the past 15 years, the store expanded its Custom Design Department, introducing several designers like Gabriel & Co., Vahan, and Tissot to the Owensboro community. The recent launch of their revamped website and the introduction of a laser welder machine in their repair department stand testimony to their commitment to innovation.

“We offer a wide variety of pieces for any jewelry needs that anyone might have,” Collins said. “For our fashion jewelry, we carry classic timeless pieces to more trendy items in gold or silver, diamonds, or colored gemstones. Our engagement rings are stunning and we provide styles for every future wifey. From simple solitaries to multiple row-wide diamond engagement rings. In every color platinum, white gold, yellow gold, or rose gold or in every shape imaginable.”

The Lance & Co. team takes pride in offering an extensive range of services — all executed in-house by Master Jeweler Lance. This includes jewelry repair, engraving, and their most cherished service, custom design.

Embry and Collins are now preparing for a series of in-store events as the holidays approach, including their anniversary sale from October 30 to November 4 and the Wesleyan Park Holiday Celebration on November 4.

Lance & Company’s bonds with the Owensboro community are deep-rooted. They’ve witnessed and been a part of countless customer life events, from engagements to anniversaries. Their community involvement extends to supporting local initiatives to local schools and sports teams.

“The Owensboro community has been so welcoming from day one,” Collins said. “We have been so lucky to form lasting relationships with our customers.”
