Daviess County and Owensboro Catholic marching bands continue to the State Semifinals after placing first and fourth in their respective regional competitions.
Daviess County placed first overall in the Class 4A West Regionals competition, scoring 83.200. Owensboro Catholic placed fourth overall in the Class 1A West Regionals competition, scoring a 77.150.
This means Daviess County will make their 8th straight appearance at the State Semifinals. Owensboro Catholic advanced to the next stage, hoping to repeat their success in 2021 when they won the state title. They placed runner-up at finals last year as well.
The semifinals for Class 1A will be held at Bowling Green High School on October 28. Class 4A will also have their semifinals at Barren County High School on October 28.
