The annual Daylilies Festival returns to the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden on Saturday, when it will be the last day to see the flowers in full bloom.

Laurna Strehl, WKBG Executive Director, said the festival is changing a little this year but will have something for everyone to enjoy throughout the night. This year’s festival is themed “Golden Hour of Daylilies” and kicks off at 5 p.m. Strehl said to bring a lawn chair to ensure guests get a great seat for the sights and sounds of the garden.

The event costs $10 for guests 13 and up, with children 12 and under admitted free. To purchase tickets, click here.

Starting at 6 p.m., there will be live music from Owensboro-based violinist Lacy Jean at the Vora Gazebo.

“Lacy Jean takes the gazebo stage and shares her immense talent with us. She will light up the night with her traditional violin as well as her electric violin,” Strehl said.

Strehl added the event will also include a professional photographer, a cash bar, food truck appearances by Wrap & Roll and Whipt Creations, and more activities.

“Bring your in-town and out-of-town friends for a night that is sure to impress,” Strehl said.
