Just shy of their 2-year anniversary, Gramps Coffee and Donuts is taking their signature donuts on the road this summer with a new catering truck, which they have styled to look like a vintage milk van.
Co-owner Amy Gilmore said they purchased the truck in January, and they’ve already begun operating out of it. She noted they won’t be making anything in the truck, only selling from it.
“This means we will be able to do events for people. We can do corporate events, we can do weddings. If someone wants to have a party, I can cater doughnuts and coffee for them,” Gilmore said.
She said they also plan to set up at events throughout the summer, so customers can catch them out in the community.
Gilmore said she is extremely thankful for the community support as they head into this new venture, saying customers have been great to Gramps since their opening.
“As soon as people saw my truck on Wednesday this week, I got four or five more calls of people looking to have that trailer come to their event,” she said.
