OPD: 14-year-old arrested after shooting at another juvenile on moped Sunday

A 14-year-old male has been arrested after shooting at another juvenile who was driving on a moped Sunday afternoon, according to the Owensboro Police Department.

According to a release, at approximately 2:07 p.m. Sunday, OPD responded to the area of West 7th Street and Crabtree Avenue for a firearm discharge. Officers determined a juvenile on a moped had been shot at by another juvenile. 

Detectives responded to investigate and were able to locate the juvenile suspect who was charged with one count of first-degree wanton endangerment and one count of possession of a handgun by a minor (first Offense). This juvenile was lodged in the Warren Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
