Owensboro Times is announcing the times and format for the 9 sessions of the 2022 OT Primary Election Town Hall set for May 3. There will be sessions for Daviess County’s Clerk, PVA, District Judge Division 3, Family Court Judge, Commissioners (3 seats), Judge-Executive and Sheriff.
The event will be held at the Bluegrass Hall of Fame & Museum. At this time, guests will be allowed to attend in-person for free on a first-come, first-serve basis as seating allows. Guests will not be allowed to ask the candidates questions during the event.
The event will be broadcast live on the OT Facebook Page in 9 segments throughout the day. All 9 segments will remain on our Facebook page and will be uploaded to owensborotimes.com for those who can’t attend or view the live feeds.
Each segment will be dedicated to a specific race (including one segment each for the East, Central, and West commission races).

An invitation was extended to all candidates. Most responded that they plan to attend. The event will go on even if not every candidate attends.
Candidates’ placement on stage will be determined by random draw on the day of the event.
Candidates will be given topics ahead of time, but specific questions will be asked for the first time during the event. The community’s input was factored heavily into the formation of questions to make sure we address the most important topics to you. Guests will not be allowed to ask the candidates questions during the event.
There will be a varying number of questions for each session as time allows and based on the number of candidates. Questions will be tailored to each race. Each candidate will be allowed to answer each question. For the first question, candidates will respond in order from left to right. For the second question, they will answer from right to left, and so on.
Jake Boswell will serve as the moderator for the event. The Town Hall is presented by Castlen Steel and Daniel Dick-State Farm Insurance Agent. OT has partnered with Tanner+West to produce the live streams.
