OPD: Juvenile charged for Wednesday firearm discharge; had been charged with 3 previous firearm offenses

A 17-year-old male is facing multiple charges related to a Wednesday night firearm discharge. He had also been charged previously with three firearm-related offenses stemming from two other incidents that occurred in the last six months, according to the Owensboro Police Department.

According to a release, at approximately 9:50 p.m. Wednesday OPD responded to the 700 block of Carol Stream for a firearm discharge. No injuries were reported. Detectives the juvenile with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, one count of possession of a handgun by a minor, and one count of tampering with physical evidence.

According to OPD, the juvenile had been charged by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division for the prior offenses.
