Wonder Whip closed after vehicle strikes building; no injuries reported

A driver lost control of their vehicle and drove into the back of the Wonder Whip building Wednesday afternoon. There were no reported injuries for anyone inside the vehicle or restaurant.

Daviess County Fire Department responded to the call. Lieutenant Trason Campbell said that there were three passengers inside the vehicle.

Workers inside the restaurant said they were trapped for a short amount of time until someone opened the backdoor.

Wonder Whip owner Seth Woodward said he was not on scene when the accident occurred but arrived as he could.

“We’re going to work through the process do everything we can do to get everything back to as normal as we can get it,” Woodward said.
