Joshua Fuller on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to the murder of Hannah Fuller. The 36-year-old Owensboro man is facing one count each of murder and tampering with evidence for the incident that occurred in August. A grand jury indicted Joshua Fuller on Oct. 14.

After accepting the plea, Daviess Circuit Judge Lisa Jones denied a reduction of the $1 million bond citing a flight risk and a risk of safety to the public.

Kentucky State Police previously reported receiving a call from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department on Aug. 26 around 8:15 a.m. requesting the state police to investigate a death. Troopers and detectives responded to the 4400 block of W. 5th Street Road to conduct the investigation.

According to KSP, troopers located one deceased female inside the residence with an apparent gunshot wound. An autopsy was later conducted, and she was identified as 23-year-old Hannah Fuller of Owensboro.

KSP officials said that at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 13, troopers and detectives located and arrested 36-year-old Joshua Fuller of Owensboro for murder (domestic violence) and tampering with physical evidence.

Preliminary investigation indicated Joshua Fuller was involved in an altercation with his estranged wife Hannah Fuller when she was shot, according to KSP.

According to court documents filed in September, Joshua Fuller agreed to speak to law enforcement after he was arrested and advised of his rights. According to documents, a subsequent interview was conducted and Joshua Fuller “confessed, in detail, to killing his wife with a handgun. Above subject [Joshua Fuller] also admitted to tampering with evidence at the scene.”

A pretrial conference was scheduled for Dec. 14. Joshua Fuller is being held at the Daviess County Detention Center.
