A new full-custom neighborhood called The Preserve is coming to Millers Mill Road just off KY 54. The subdivision consists of 41 home sites ranging from a half-acre to 3 acres and is just less than 2 miles away from Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
Professional Properties & Construction and CR Contracting recently announced plans for The Preserve.
Tim Allen, spokesperson for the project, said the neighborhood will be fully custom and allow residents to truly build their dream homes.
“Clients can either bring us a set of plans they like, and we can help them modify those plans to make them just right for them, or we can help them develop the plans from scratch,” Allen said.
The neighborhood will also be promoting an active lifestyle by encouraging larger outdoor living spaces and offering private access to the Greenbelt.
While the main entry is just off KY 54, Allen also noted that there are multiple roads leading from The Preserve which will allow owners to avoid traffic on KY 54 during peak times.
Gary Cecil, President of CR Contracting, noted that while KY 54 has been growing over the years, this could be the last chance at getting good land for a home out on that side of town.
“We’re definitely running out of places to build, and this might be your last shot to stay close to the action and still have some privacy,” Cecil said.
Allen said he is excited to get the homes started for the residents. The dirt work started last week, and they plan to start construction on the first home next spring.
“Our goal with this is to have a neighborhood where we build the perfect home to serve these clients today and then, that we ultimately give them the quality and timelessness that will maintain that value for generations to come,” Allen said.
