A portion of Breckenridge Street is temporarily closed after the driver of a stolen vehicle caused a three-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to officials, OPD responded at approximately 4:38 p.m. to the 1700 block of Breckenridge Street for the accident.
The accident began after a stolen vehicle being pursued by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office struck another vehicle traveling northbound on Breckenridge Street.
Passengers in the second vehicle were treated for minor injuries on scene. The third vehicle involved was parked and unoccupied.
The roadway is temporarily closed while the OPD Accident Reconstruction Unit investigates.
