Three people died and two were taken to the hospital after a multi-car accident Thursday morning on KY 81 in McLean County near the Daviess County line, according to Kentucky State Police.
According to KSP Trooper Corey King, one person was taken to a hospital in Evansville and another was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
Authorities said KY 81 will be shut down for the next three hours to reconstruct the accident as KP investigates.
KY 140 should be used as a detour.
