Employees at two Kroger locations in Owensboro have tested positive for COVID-19, according to multiple news outlets in Louisville.
The stores on Starlite Drive and in Wesleyan Park Plaza are among at least nine different locations in Kroger’s Louisville division that reportedly have had an employee test positive for the coronavirus.
According to multiple reports, a Kroger spokesperson said some of the employees who tested positive have already recovered and are back at work. It was not disclosed how many employees at any location had tested positive, but there had been no confirmed cases in more than a week.
Owensboro Times was unable to get comment from either Owensboro location.
Safety measures already in place at local Kroger stores include plexiglass partitions at checkouts, arrows on the floor of each aisle for one-way traffic, and a limited number of shoppers who can be inside at the same time.
