Americans have an additional three months to file their taxes amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are moving Tax Day from April 15 to July 15,” U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin tweeted Friday morning, noting the decision came at the direction of President Donald Trump. “All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties.”

Previously, the White House had announced tax payments were being deferred for 90 days, but people would still have to file by April 15.

“I encourage all taxpayers who may have tax refunds to file now to get your money,” Mnuchcin also tweeted.
