Both Owensboro Public Schools and Daviess County Public Schools announced alterations to their free meal services to help prevent the potential exposure to COVID-19.
OPS changes
Beginning Monday, meal delivery will drop down to three days a week, and breakfasts and lunches will both be delivered at the same time. There will no longer be a separate morning delivery time for breakfasts. All meals will be provided according to the lunch schedule currently in place.
Two breakfasts and two lunches will be available at every location on Monday and Wednesday, while one breakfast and lunch will be provided Friday — meaning all children will still be provided a total of five breakfasts and lunches each week.

DCPS changes
Beginning March 30, home delivery will be discontinued as part of the Daviess County Public Schools food service program.
Meals will continue to be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the locations listed below. Breakfasts and lunches for two days will be served on Monday and Wednesday, which are intended for use on Tuesday and Thursday.
