Visitors and residents of Owensboro now have another late-night eatery option. Employees of IHOP at 3070 Highland Pointe Drive off Highway 54 confirmed Tuesday that the location is now open 24 hours a day.

The Owensboro restaurant, which opened on Dec. 29, is next to Drake’s and across from Academy Sports + Outdoors. The official IHOP website has not yet been updated to reflect the new operating hours, but staff members tell Owensboro Times the restaurant served its first wee-hour meals on Monday night into Tuesday morning.

The first International House of Pancakes restaurant opened in 1958 in Toluca Lake, Calif. IHOP’s parent company DineEquity, Inc. also owns Applebee’s, which has an Owensboro location on south Frederica Street.
