Owensboro Fire Department responded to a structure fire that started in the roof of a residence in the 1500 block of Center Street.
Firefighters were able to put the majority of the fire out pretty quick, OFD officials said, but crews are working to put out a small fire near the chimney by using a chainsaw to take off a piece of the roof.
No cause for the fire has been determined, but Batallion Chief Steve Leonard will investigate by inspecting the attic. All occupants of the home were removed and uninjured.
