New details have emerged in the Audubon Avenue shooting that happened last Thursday. According to Owensboro Police Department Public Information Officer Andrew Boggess, all four victims were shot in the head.
Boggess cannot confirm whether OPD has talked to the fourth victim, Carmen Vanegas, 35.
OPD identified the white man in the photos released last week. Although he is not a suspect, OPD believes he may be able to help them understand what happened in the hours and days leading up to the shooting.
After an employee of the judicial center called in a welfare check, first responders believed the call was more of a medical nature. The welfare check and call gave no insight that OPD would be dealing with a criminal matter.
