The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce has decided to cancel Tuesday’s local candidate forum, which was to be held at Owensboro High School from 5 to 7 p.m. The decision comes after the City of Owensboro and Daviess County announced a recommendation that all outdoor Halloween activities — trick-or-treating — be moved to Tuesday due to the forecast of rain on Wednesday.
Chamber President and CEO Candance Brake said with very little time left until the election, the event will not be rescheduled. Brake wants to remind Owensboro that there is a state candidate forum on Thursday at 5 p.m. at City Hall.
