United Way of the Ohio Valley is celebrating its 75th anniversary at the RiverPark Center this August, with VF Company President/CEO Bracken Darrell to be the featured speaker. UWOV is also hosting Barrels of HeART for a second time and is currently looking for new submissions from local artists.
The Diamond Celebration on August 23 at 6 p.m. will be a night of celebration, appreciation, achievement awards, and recognition of everyone and everything that has made UWOV a valuable community partner for 75 years, organizers said. Tickets will be $75 in honor of the 75th anniversary and will go on sale May 31.
“We want everyone who has been involved with United Way in any fashion — donors, CEOs, volunteers, non-profit employees — to attend the Diamond Celebration, and anyone who wants to learn or connect more with United Way to come and see what we’re all about,” Director of Resource Development and Marketing Savannah Daniels said.
Darrell has more than 30 years of experience in business leadership and brand management with global consumer companies. Before VF Company, Darrell was President/CEO of Logitech for 12 years.

United Way is also hosting the Barrels of HeART for the second time after partnering with Bourbon With HeART. This year, 14 bourbon barrels will be painted and sponsored.
