Owensboro, July 6, 2023 – Two physical therapists from Rehabilitation & Performance Institute worked with prospective Major League Draft players at the MLB Draft Combine in Phoenix, Arizona. Drs. Jake Sullivan and Skylar Walden assisted in player testing with the rest of the impressive strength and conditioning team. The team has been led by Dr. Phil Plisky of the University of Evansville since the inaugural year of the MLB Combine. The purpose of the testing is to identify any barriers to performance and help individuals become their fastest, strongest, and most resilient selves. The testing the team performed is the same testing utilized in the clinic for our active and athletic populations and the same testing we perform for local organizations. Our mission is always to help our community move, feel and live better.

“It was an incredible opportunity to do the same tests we do on athletes in the clinic and at ISO Academy on one of the biggest stages in Major League Baseball.”
– Dr. Jake Sullivan, PT, DPT, OnBaseU

“I had a great time being a part of the strength and conditioning team. We performed the Y-Balance Test, the Functional Movement Screen, and took a lot of measurements for the prospective players. While we do these tests everyday with our patients, it was impressive to see over 100 athletes go through them all.
-Dr. Skylar Walden, DPT
