The Cottage Farmstand is hosting their second annual community yard sale this Saturday, July 22nd from 8am – 12Noon. Admission is free and 15 plus participating families and individuals are expected to be there selling their own items.
The Cottage is seeking more participants to bring out items to sell. “It’s a perfect time to clean out and organize before school starts”, said Marlene Knight, The Cottage owner. “Putting together a whole yard/garage sale on your own can be daunting and advertising is another chore in itself. We like to offer community activities that will allow people to learn about the Cottage, while at the same time providing a service to the community ”, said Knight.
The yard sale will take place on the front lawn of The Cottage. Those wishing to sell, do not have to pay a fee, however, do need to register. Reservations may be made by calling The Cottage at 270-794-7040 or messaging on Facebook @cottagehwy56. Instructions will be given to participants at that time.
The Cottage is open from 6:30am – 4pm on Saturday and serves breakfast or lunch all day, along with a full service coffee bar and bakery items. Shoppers purchasing $5.00 or more from any of the yard sale participants will receive a coupon for 10% off their purchase that day at The Cottage.
The Cottage is located at 6869 State Route 56, Owensboro, KY (across from the Sorgho Firehouse).
