The National Weather Service Paducah office states a cold front is expected to move through the region during the day on Wednesday and may bring a brief winter mix.

As the rain moves away from the area from west to east during the day, a very brief wintry mix will be possible with the passage of the cold front. The wintry precipitation may include a mix of snow, sleet, or freezing rain and will likely last less than two hours in any one location on Wednesday.

Travelers may need to be watchful for wet spots on area roadways Wednesday afternoon as temperatures fall below freezing. Black ice may redevelop in the late afternoon and evening hours as temperatures fall into the 20s. Wind chills will also fall into the teens and twenties late Wednesday and Wednesday night.
