After a national search, Dr. Ashleigh Crowe has been named the position of Vice President of Student Affairs at Owensboro Community & Technical College.
“It’s an honor to serve as the next vice president of student affairs at OCTC. I look forward to this new challenge and the privilege of engaging with students and serving alongside colleagues who make a positive difference in students’ lives,” Crowe said.
She replaces Dr. Kevin Beardmore, who left OCTC in December 2022 following a 23-year career at OCTC. Crowe joined OCTC in June 2022 as the Dean of Student Affairs.
Crowe brings 15 years of experience from Indiana State University and the University of Northern Iowa. While at ISU, Crowe served as an academic advisor, probation and mentoring program coordinator, associate director for first-year student outreach and support and advising administration director. She completed her time at ISU serving as the academic advising executive director.
Crowe’s responsibilities at OCTC will include providing leadership for all aspects of student affairs: admissions and student records, academic advising, financial aid, counseling and accessibility, experiential learning, and career services, and strategic enrollment management.
“Ashleigh’s leadership experience in advising will serve our students well,” said OCTC President Dr. Scott Williams. “We are excited to see how this opportunity can expand the reach of student affairs to connect to more students.”
