Hager Preschool has once again been awarded a certificate of accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The accreditation is good until the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

“There are very few programs in our community that has maintained this level of excellence for early childhood education and this award ensures that families know they are getting the best possible education for their students when they send them to Hager Preschool,” Owensboro Public Schools Public Information Officer Jared Revlett said.

Patricia Puckett, the Curriculum Coordinator for Hager Preschool, said that the award is among the highest standard nationally and the school is proud to consistently be recognized by NAEYC over the years.

According to the NAEYC website, “Research shows a direct correlation between high-quality early learning and children’s positive long-term outcomes in life, including increased educational attainment, healthier lifestyles, and more successful careers. NAEYC Accreditation helps teachers and other staff at early learning programs develop a shared understanding and commitment to quality.”

NAEYC accreditation offers programs access to continuous quality-improvement , the latest research on best practices, training, technical assistance, visibility on family-focused search engines, and more.
