The Dugan Best Neighborhood Alliance is hoping to bring the community together on Saturday with their annual Gala Day, where they will give out bikes and hold other activities for the entire family to enjoy.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the park will be filled with activities. Things kick off with the July Walk with the Doc at 10:30 a.m., where guests can walk with Dr. Theresa Lanham.
Along with that, Owensboro Health will be providing child car seat safety checks and diabetes screenings and A1C tests free to the public.
Throughout the rest of the day, there will be a 3-on-3 basketball tournament (no registration needed). OH will also be providing including blood pressure and oxygen screenings, hands-only CPR training, Nicotine Replacement Therapies, general health education and more.
The Alliance will also be giving away bikes and other prizes, including a flat-screen TV.
